How to play

  1. Everyone sees the topic and the secret word. One imposter only sees "You are the imposter" and the topic. Tap the card to peek so nobody next to you sees it.
  2. Sitting together, take turns saying one clue about the word out loud. The imposter has to listen and bluff.
  3. When everyone is done, tap "Done talking" (or wait for the timer), then vote for who you think the imposter is (not yourself).
  4. If the imposter alone gets the most votes, they are caught, but get one last chance to pick the word from 8 options.
  5. If the imposter guesses wrong, they lose. If they guess right, everyone who voted for them loses. If the imposter isn’t caught (ties included), the most-voted innocent player loses.

Great for

  • Groups in the same room
  • Parties where you want a talking game

Tips

  • Innocent players: don’t be too obvious, or you’ll give the word away.
  • Imposter: listen carefully and pick a clue that could fit many words.
  • In bot practice the bots can’t talk, so use it just to learn the rules.

Points and the unluckiest player

  • The last-place player in each game gets 3 unlucky points. With 4 or more players, second-to-last gets 2 and third-to-last gets 1.
  • The final game counts double, so a comeback is always possible.
  • After the last game, whoever has the most points is crowned "Today’s unluckiest". Ties are settled with a sudden-death Card Flip.
  • The host can tap "One more round" to start again with the same group right away.
